Students will explore the art of printmaking and learn the process of how to create multiple artworks from a single plate design. There will be an emphasis on drawing and design planning for the use of multiple colors from a single print plate. The class will learn how to use a printing press and cover various printmaking techniques including relief, etching, gel print and monoprints. Students will be introduced to print masters and their techniques as well as contemporary printmakers and their experimental printing methods. All material fees are included.
