It’s that time of year again! We invite you to unleash your creativity on a smaller scale for the 2024 Small Works Holiday Art Market– our annual celebration of compact, inspired creations. This event is an opportunity to showcase your artistry in pieces that may be small in size but grand in quality and imagination.

What’s New This Year?

The Small Works Market has grown into a Holiday Art Market, where the spirit of the season meets the joy of art collecting. Buyers can purchase your pieces and take them home immediately, perfect for holiday gifting! Your work will be part of an in-person and online experience, bringing it to a wide audience ready to share in the holiday magic.

How to Participate

Artists may enter up to five 2D items for display, plus 3D items that will be beautifully showcased in glass displays. This is your chance to bring the beauty of your smaller pieces to an audience eager for unique, handmade treasures.

Opening Reception: Friday, December 6, 6- 8 pm

Show Dates: Saturday, December 7- Sunday, December 15, 12- 5 pm

Drop Off Work: Sunday, December 1, 12- 2 pm OR Monday, December 2, 10 am- 12 pm

Pick Up Work: Sunday, December 15, 5- 7 pm OR Monday, December 16, 10 am- 12 pm

Only Members of AOY Art Center are eligible to submit work for this exhibit. All works must be for sale. A 30% commission will be taken on every sale. This is a “cash and carry” event, which means that visitors can purchase original artwork and take it home that day to give or share for the holidays. This show will be in person and also online. All participating artists and artisans are expected to sign up to serve as a Gallery Host for at least one 2.5 hour shift. We use SignUpGenius, please Click Here.

NOTE: AOY uses Entrythingy.com for all show entries. This allows us to offer a high quality online gallery and marketplace. If you intend to add pieces to your entry up to the deadline, please leave your entry status as “Not Submitted” until all your pieces are entered.

2D Artists: Artists in any medium may submit, but no piece can be larger than 11”x14” (excluding the frame). Artists can set the price but it must be priced at $300 or less. The maximum number of 2D entries per artist is 5. All unframed work should be gallery finished (painted sides), and ready to hang with D-rings and wires. No eye hooks or sawtooth brackets will be accepted.

Registration: The entry fee is $20 and will be via Entrythingy. 2D artists may enter up to 5 pieces per entry.

Pottery, Jewelry and 3D Artisans may rent shelves in the glass showcases and display as many items as reasonably presents well. There are 6 small shelves and 6 larger shelves and they will be made available on a first come basis. The price is $30 per shelf (entry fee + $10) for the small end showcases and $40 per shelf (entry fee + $20) for the large showcases. AOY will take 30% of sales for individual items priced $100 or over.

Please email Maureen at admin@aoyarts.org and specify the size shelf you are requesting. If your shelf space is approved, you may enter up to 10 pieces into Entrythingy so they will be included in the online gallery. Entrythingy only allows us to have one price for a show entry fee so pay the $20 registration fee online and then mail a check for the difference ($10 or $20) to AOYArt Center, 949 Mirror Lake Road, Yardley, PA 19067.

Exhibitors must provide their own displays and appropriate gift box/bag. 3D Artists can enter as many as 10 pieces per entry.

Finalize All Entries no later than Friday, November 29

Deliver Your Artwork: Sunday, December 1, 12- 2 pm OR Monday, December 2, 10 am- 12 pm. There is no acceptance of work after the scheduled drop-off dates. All works must be for sale. Entries are to be delivered to AOY Art Center, 949 Mirror Lake Road, Yardley, PA. Each piece must have a completed artwork ID tag (see below) attached to the back of the work. All 2D work must be professionally presented, wired with d-hooks and ready for hanging. Oil paintings should be dry. Each unframed canvas entry must have professionally finished edges. Promotion: AOY will promote the Small Works show in the December issue of ICON magazine and print 2500- 5000 postcards for Every Door Direct Distribution with our Holiday greeting on the “address” side and Small Works promotion on the reverse. These postcards will be distributed to homes in Yardley, Newtown and Langhorne zip codes. All members are asked to assist in promoting the show via their own social media networks.

Pick Up Unsold Works: All unsold work must be picked up Sunday, December 15, 5- 7 pm ORMonday, December 16, 10 am- 12 pm. Any work left after December 17, will be subject to a $5 a day storage fee and will become the property of AOY after 10 days.

Agreement: By submitting artwork to this event, you agree to the conditions set forth. AOY reserves the right to reject any work not professionally presented. Acceptability is at the discretion of the show committee.

Liability: AOY will do its utmost to protect work in its possession, but the organization is not responsible for damage, or loss.
