Young artists really enjoy the freedom and playful nature of making abstract art. They’ll learn how to use color, composition and texture and see how famous abstract artists like Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock used the same methods to express themselves without the use of objects. One lesson will be listening to different kinds of music being played in class and paint an emotional response that goes with it. This is primarily a painting class but the class will experiment in collage and sculpture. All material fees are included.
