#56 Comicbook Anatomy!
Teaching Artist - Leigh Ferello
Week 5, 1 - 4 pm
Ages 8 - 12
$225*

Extra! Extra! Read all about it... Campers will develop their own character and story that will be implemented into a storyboard and then a comicbook. Learn the anatomy of a comicbook: splash pages, speech/thought bubbles, captions, and other techniques to enhance their next comic.

This camp concentrates on drawing. If your child loves to draw/create comics, students as young as 8 can be accepted. This is not a figure drawing class - campers will be drawing all of their own, independent drawings. Other projects will be offered as time permits. You can take this camp more than once and create something new! All material fees are included.

Prerequisite: Students as young as 8 may register for this class if they meet the following criteria: Remain seated and not rush through their work to complete a full 1-2 page drawing (including background). Students should also be able to use a ruler independently.

*plus $4 processing fee

"You learn a lot about a community by how much it embraces, elevates and provides access to the arts. AOY Art Center, a nonprofit artistic hub on Mirror Lake Road, provides countless opportunities for residents to embrace their artistic side as a vehicle for growth, creativity, and profound joy. Through adult classes, youth programs, and public events, AOY Art Center uses the arts to not only inspire community members but also connect them to one another."
