In this class session we will explore beginner aspects of photography for Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras. We will discuss how to bring together the elements of manual mode to create an evocative image: shutter speed, aperture, and image composition. We will examine how the selection of shutter speeds and apertures can transform your images. The instructor will also teach elements of composition, posing, white balance, and some basic editing skills. Students are encouraged to use any digital cameras they have access to and want to learn how to use. Class will include instructional time with visual examples/powerpoint, class shooting, then review/viewing of class images.
Each week will begin with teaching 45 minutes from a slideshow presentation in the screen share feature of zoom. The remaining of the 45 minutes of the class will be discussions on topic, the instructor physically demonstrating concepts, and Q&A.
