Explore the opaque paint media of Tempera and Acrylic and learn techniques for composing and producing a well crafted art work! Learn about the process of block printing and try your hand at creating a multicolored layered print! In this camp we will learn about all of the ways that an artist composes a painting or print, and the research, sketches, and color studies needed to form a beautiful piece. Students will learn various brush work and block cutting techniques used to make the image truly represent their vision. Students will accomplish numerous small "sketch" paintings as well as larger works and at least two block prints during the week. Campers will be able to utilize this knowledge for many years of artistic creations! Come join the fun! All material fees are included.
