Product? That’s for the birds. Students are led through a series of tactile and writing exercises to unleash creative juices without the pressure to end with a final product. We will be working with household objects, doing MadLibs (remember those?!), examining nonsense writing to mine it for creative gems and holding story circles all in service of generating ideas and concepts for eventual art pieces. Creatives taking this class will be able to inspire each other, laugh and provoke thought in one another, all facilitated by a seasoned creator and performer, Katie Butler. Ages 13 - adult.

Students will emerge with easy, fun generative tools for when the next creative block hits. Great for emerging artists in all mediums, and seasoned artists looking to tap into their mojo. Spend an hour exploring concept-creation and art-making in a low-pressure, fun environment!

Katie is a theatre maker and seasoned teaching artist with an MFA in Devised and Physical Performance from the Pig Iron School and almost 20 years experience as an actor, director and creator.

This is an Online Class offered via Zoom. A Zoom account is required to attend.

This class is also offered Tuesday, April 27, 7-8 pm and Friday, April 30, 1-2 pm.
