#53 Exploring Sculpture Workshop!

 Come Experience the World of Three-Dimensional Art! We will be creating both "In-the Round" and Relief type sculptural pieces in a variety of media!
We will be creating a 3-D wire armature (think skeleton) over which we will use Plaster Gauze to create a Hard Sculpture that can be painted and even have additional ornaments added. We will choose a mold design and size to pour wet plaster into creating a relief sculpture "plaque" that we can carve into, dry and paint. We will look at the whimsical sculptural art of Claes Oldenberg and create a 3-D- in the round- SOFT Sculpture using Felt and stuffing them as much or as little as we'd like. We will also be looking at the Tile Art of Henry Chapman Mercer and we will design and create a Mosaic Tile that we will mount onto a frame.
The art of sculpture is a whole different mind-set...come explore with us! All material fees are included.
