#47 The World of 3D Creations!
Teaching Artist - Elizabeth Taraba
Week 4, 1 - 4 pm
Ages 12 - 16
$225*

Learn multiple ways of creating Three Dimensional objects using paper, clay, cardboard, card stock, etc! We will explore objects that remain 3D, as well as "Pop-Up" objects that are 3D when you want them to be, but can fold flat for storage! We will learn to use the proportionate enlargement technique to make a small design larger... making a small box of crayons super big, or a tiny tin of mints into "mega-mints"! Enlarged packages will be fully colored using paints, markers, and colored papers.

Create a "shadow box" environment using a cigar box or shallow display. Create a library, car show, dramatic stage or any other "environment you can imagine." Explore the world of folding / layered landscapes using cut paper and 3D folding techniques. We will also learn to design and create a 3D "puzzle" that assembled will make an animal, flower, car, boat, or any other object that you'd like! Puzzles can be taken apart for transport and reassembled whenever you like! All material fees are included.

*plus $4 processing fee

"You learn a lot about a community by how much it embraces, elevates and provides access to the arts. AOY Art Center, a nonprofit artistic hub on Mirror Lake Road, provides countless opportunities for residents to embrace their artistic side as a vehicle for growth, creativity, and profound joy. Through adult classes, youth programs, and public events, AOY Art Center uses the arts to not only inspire community members but also connect them to one another."
