COVID-19 PolicyEffective as of February 1, 2023 AOY Art Center will use a variety of actions every day to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including the virus that causes COVID-19. The following set of strategies for everyday operations are to be followed by all persons at the Center. Protecting Yourself and Others The wearing of a facial mask is optional. You should however wear a mask if you are uncertain about your respiratory health or feel that you may spread germs or if you prefer to be cautious in a group setting. Staying Home When Sick People who have symptoms of respiratory or gastrointestinal infections, such as cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting, or diarrhea, should stay home. Testing is recommended for people with symptoms of COVID-19 as soon as possible after symptoms begin. People who are at risk for getting very sick with COVID-19 who test positive should consult with a healthcare provider right away for possible treatment, even if their symptoms are mild. Staying home when sick can lower the risk of spreading infectious diseases, including COVID-19, to other people. If you or your child test positive for COVID-19 you should immediately notify your instructor to determine potential exposure to others. The appropriate person from the Center will advise when you can/cannot return to class. Ventilation and Cleaning AOY will continue to implement other safety measures such as the use of air filtration systems and weekly disinfectant cleaning. Hand Washing Everyone is encouraged to wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently. Hand sanitizer can be found throughout the Center. Supplies Adult Classes: AOY asks that you use your own supplies Youth Classes and Summer Camp: Every effort will be made to ensure sanitization of shared supplies.
